Fitness & Wellness Services
  • Personal Fitness Training - A one-on-one experience designed specifically for you. We provide certified trainers with expertise in cardiovascular and muscular endurance and strength, balance in body composition, increased flexibility and agility, body toning and building, weight loss and weight gain and plateau busting. Our training techniques incorporate standard machines, dumbbells & rack weights as well as the many variations of functional training. All of our personal training programs include benchmarking and tracking fitness assessments, self cardio instruction and guidance, a natural foods detoxification plan and nutritional counseling and monitoring.

  • Group Fitness Training - Our group fitness training is not like what you would typically think of as group fitness training. It goes beyond a huge group of people meeting, jumping around and leaving. The classes are limited in capacity … usually no more than 6-12 people. Each class is 21-30 days long. Classes include pre- and post- body composition assessments, and a natural foods detoxification plan or generic weight loss meal plan and weight loss cardio programs. The classes are taught by certified fitness instructors who ensure that all of the movements and exercises are done in proper form and technique. Exercise routines, meal plans and assessments are designed around the primary focus of the class whether weight loss, tone, increase flexibility or improve cardio capacity.

  • Fitness Boot Camps - This 30-day long fitness exercise program is designed to assist clients in dropping 10 – 20 lbs by aggressively and radically changing lifestyle behaviors to a much more active one while maintaining strict caloric intake with healthy foods. The camps are 3 days a week for 1 hour. The other days of the week, except Sunday, the participants must engage in a 500 kcal burn of cardio-aerobic exercise. The class includes a fitness tracking manual, natural food detoxification process, post-detox meal plan and instruction, pre-and post-camp fitness assessments and strict activity and food intake monitoring. A physician’s authorization is required to participate in this camp. Learn More >.

  • Nutrition Counseling and Monitoring - We can provide nutritional counseling for weight loss and weight gain. We staff certified nutritional specialist trainers, not to be confused with a nutritionist, who are skilled in the knowledge of foods and the effects on the body, supplements, nutrients and the use of all of these to meet one’s fitness goals. In our nutritional counseling sessions, we assess the client’s Basal Metabolic Rate, factoring in an activity quotient to determine the client’s Total Metabolic Rate. From there, we are able to determine the optimal caloric intake and macronutrient allotments to meet a client’s goals. This service does require the client to divulge their eating and drinking habits and to track their food intake for 30-60 days, depending on previous eating habits, dependencies and behavior.

  • Natural Foods System Cleansing & Detoxification Program - Total body detoxification and cleansing, using a specified Detoxifying Nutritional Intake plan, is crucial to anyone starting a fitness and wellness lifestyle change. Problems in the body (and mind) often arise from either deficiency, where one is not acquiring sufficient necessary nutrients to meet the body’s functional needs, or congestion, where one has excessive intake, both from reduced eliminative functions and the over consumption of foods or non-food substances (caffeine, air pollutants, alcohol, nicotine, refined sugars, processed carbohydrates, processed fats and other “bad” food chemicals”). A detoxification plan addresses the problem of congestion. Congestive problems are very common, even in people who appear “healthy”. Many acute and chronic medical diseases and dilemmas are a result of clogged tissues and tubes which suffocate our cells and vital energy. From colds, allergies and flu strains, to cancers, obesity, cardiovascular diseases, arthritis and allergies are all examples of congestive disorders. These medical problems can be minimized, prevented, or treated in part, by embarking on a regular process of cleansing and removing toxins from the body … also know as detoxification. We advocate the intake of specific totally natural and organic foods for a period of 7 – 28 days, depending on the individual’s health state and fitness needs, to achieve our Natural Food Detoxification. Once you have completed it, not only will you be 5 – 10 lbs lighter, you will feel more energized and best of all will have learned the importance of how consuming certain foods in the right proportions at the right times contribute to a healthy and fit lifestyle.

  • Fitness Testing and Assessment - Our certified trainers are trained in accurate assessment on one’s fitness level through the following test prescriptions:

    • Body Composition Assessment: This assessment establishes what one’s physical body is comprised of in terms of fat weight, muscle weight and lean body mass. It also helps identify where the majority of the fat stores lie so that a more targeted exercise program can be prescribed. The final readings are compared with health charts established by guidelines in accordance with the American Red Cross & FDA. By knowing these measures, trainers can prescribe a fitness program that target the fat stores and does not strip off muscle or lean mass in the process. It also is a better gauge for measuring progress that the scale. It involves the use of calipers to pinch 9 points of the body that have been identified as holding the most subcutaneous fat layers.

    • Girth Measurement Assessment: Identifies the diameter of key body locations for benchmarking progress and understanding the body’s response to the exercise prescription. It involves the use of a simple measuring tape to measure the girth in inches of 9 key body points.

    • VO2 Max Assessment: Aerobic Cardio Capacity or one’s cardio pulmonary fitness level. This assessment helps to establish one’s ability to maintain an exercise pulse rate in a target zone during daily exercise sessions. By establishing this benchmark, one can measure how strong and more fit the heart is progressing during the exercise program. This assessment is done with the use of a treadmill to gauge heart rate activity levels at increasing controlled and established workloads.

    • Muscular Strength & Endurance Tests: There is a requirement of the body to maintain a minimal amount of muscle tone and strength. A lack thereof can quickly lead to numerous ailments and problems. This series of 4 separate tests establishes a person’s muscular fitness level as defined by the Institute of Aerobic Research (Dallas, TX).

    • Flexibility Test: Lack of sufficient flexibility and the ability to extend our body parts to full range of motion in basic daily functions has lead to numerous back, shoulder, hip and other problems/injuries that greatly affect our quality of life. One of the most common is Arthritis. This test involves a simple extension of the arms between the legs in a seated position. The benchmark measure is used to gauge flexibility progress from the prescribed fitness program.

    • Optimal Target Heart Rate Assessment: Many people do not see the results of their exercise efforts due to lack of enough intensity or too much intensity, causing the person to overwork the body and heart and tire too quickly. This assessment uses the maximum attainable heart rate equation as defined by the American Heart Association and factors in a person’s resting heart rate to determine a target heart rate and cut off heart rate to optimize the exercise program and fitness efforts. This assessment requires a simple blood pressure and heart rate reading.

    • Optimal Caloric Intake Assessment: Many do not realize the amount of calories they take in on any given day. Most will actually grossly underestimate their total daily caloric intake. Most also have no idea how many calories they burn naturally on any given day, and if asked to estimate it, most will grossly overestimate. This assessment calculates the person’s daily caloric expenditure by using height, weight, age and body composition while factoring in the common activity level. By providing the results of this assessment, a client can then more accurately determine the amount of caloric intake they actually need to meet their fitness goals and the macronutrient percentages needed to optimize their overall health and wellness.

  • Speaking Engagements - A huge part of our role as fitness professionals is to educate the mass majority on the benefits of embarking on a healthy and fit lifestyle; as well as the repercussions’ of not embarking on one. More and more religious groups, corporations, affinity organizations and governmental agencies are taking part in trying to curtail our nation’s biggest epidemic, OBESITY. As this epidemic affects so much more than just the individual suffering from it. That said, we avail ourselves to speak at conventions, forums, conferences, seminars, informal gatherings, chat sessions and lunch-n-learns. We can speak to a chosen topic or conduct an open forum of Q & A, which is our most popular and most beneficial to the audience.
